Legislative

The OSIA Board and Legislative committee has many years experience in watching and influencing state and federal legislation. The committee reviews and analyzes proposed legislative and administrative rules revisions.  Members participate actively with MLAC, Drew Hagedorn, OSIA lobbyist, and the Workers’ Compensation Division.  Members may provide both written and oral testimony in legislative matters, and participate on various Workers’ Compensation Division rules advisory committees.

OSIA has a contracted lobbyist who works hard to keep our interests at the forefront. The workers’ compensation reforms of the 1990 and 1995 would not have been possible without the OSIA and its resources.

Meet our Lobbyist Drew Hagedorn:

Drew is a long-time public affairs professional offering comprehensive government affairs services for Tonkon Torp's clients at the state, local and regulatory levels.  He represents multiple Fortune 500 companies and key industry sectors ranging from commercial construction, to hospitals, Oregon's public universities, broadcast and telecommunications companies, automakers and various nonprofit industry associations. 

Drew received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California and his law degree from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College. He has been a member of the Oregon State Bar since 1999.
